Melissa Chaidez is from Brownsville, TX and chose to attend A&M-SA in part because of its welcoming faculty. As a sophomore, Melissa is already a stellar student and leader among her peers. Dr. Akhtar Lodgher teaches the hybrid cyber security course sponsored by Facebook. Committed to educating the next generation of cyber experts, Dr. Lodgher has secured grants of over 1 million dollars from NSF, AFRL, and TxDOT and has made significant contributions in over 30 university grants. Dr. Lodgher has been a professor for the Texas A&M System since 2005.

This prestigious giving society is reserved for donors who make leadership gifts of $1,000 or more annually. Funds allow Dr. Matson to respond to the university’s most immediate needs or can be designated to support an area chosen by you.
Jaguar Emergency Aid
We understand life can be unpredictable. This fund was established to assist currently enrolled A&M-SA students in cases of serious, immediate, non-education financial hardships that may disrupt their education or prevent them from earning their degree.
